We exceeded our goal and helped save 216 lives! Our next Blood Drive will be on February 27. The Foothill Ladies Golf Team has clinched the SEYL League Championship!! They are the first ladies golf team in FHS history to win a league title. Great Job Trojans!! Senior Night for Varsity Tennis started with celebrating our seniors and ended with a win over East! Cross Country sweeps North and has 1st place finishers in all 4 divisions. FHS Counselors and Staff were on hand Thursday 5/23 to celebrate and honor Foothill Seniors who have committed to attending a 4 year University or College. Saturday 5/18, members of the FHS Interact Club met up with Bakersfield Rotary and helped put together meals for struggling families. They put enough food packets together to feed 3,240 people and had a blast doing it. Great Job Trojans! FHS is incredibly proud of the 2019 Softball team and all of their accomplishments this year. On Friday 5/17, a large portion of the Class of 2019 traveled to Pismo Beach to watch the sunset as their time at Foothill draws to an end. The Latina Leaders of Kern honored several young ladies from FHS at their end of the year graduation ceremony. The FHS Senior class of 2019 walked onto the track at Ned Permenter Stadium for the last time at the Spring Rally on 3/29/19. Kaylilah Jackson took High Individual overall at the Chico FFA Field Day on March 9th. On 3/1 four Foothill students participated in the Regional Migrant Speech & Debate Competition. Congratulations to Carlos Reyes and Jazmin Perez who will be representing KHSD at the state competition in May! The Foothill Archiving Class did an amazing job compiling lots of memorabilia to display during the 1988 Championship celebration game. On Wednesday 12/12 Foothill was proud to honor the 1988 State Championship Basketball Team - Go Trojans! FHS Interact Club members wrote over 40 letters to men and women serving away from home for the holidays. Congratulations to our Fall Sports Hall of Fame award recipients. Foothill FFA was proud to welcome 2 State FFA Officers to our campus and show them around our programs. Congrats to Dwanni Gillard for being recognized by Hometown Sports as being an All Star for the 2018 Football Season! Seniors Giovanni Perez, Kaylilah Jackson, Claire Champagne, and Yesenia Ventura were honored as top seniors from FHS and participated in Teen City Government on 11/7/2018 Foothill’s Interact Club helped clean up over 30 gallons of trash from our community on Saturday 11/3.
